STRANGE YEAR

On View OCTOBER 6 - 31
Reception Saturday, OCTOBER 10 (7PM) during ALLOVERSTREET Art Walk

Strange Year exhibits the work of City Arts resident Brady Starr and members of his family, featuring new and old oil paintings by the artist and works of art that have been damaged during a house fire in 2013. The display will reflect a timeline of work to compare style changes throughout the artists and his family's history.

Brady Starr has worked collaboratively and individually on a variety of socially engaged interdisciplinary projects for over a decade. He has exhibited at The Metro Gallery, Syn Gallery, Load of Fun, 2d Gallery, Gallery 788, Gallery 21g, Page 5 Gallery, Echo Gallery, The Low-Fi Social Club and Blue Door Gallery in New York. Starr currently works as a full time visual artist and is owner of Pub and Paint, an event company that teaches public art classes in Baltimore. He was named “Best Visual Artist” in 2007 by Baltimore City Paper readers and runner up for Best Visual Artist in 2011.
